Infection Prevention and Control

This video CD-ROM demonstrates how to prevent infections in hospital and health care settings. It explains the microbiology behind infectious diseases and stresses the importance of hand washing and prevention of cross-infection.

The tutors of the Fiji School of Nursing present and narrate each of the segments in the video. A full Infection Control Manual is included on the CD-ROM. A glossary of terms, transcript of the video, posters and a Q&A section is also on this CD. Moving from the video to other parts of the CD-ROM is quick and easy. All text and graphic elements can be printed if necessary and the video can be converted to a VCD or copied onto a VHS tape for playing on a television set.
