Immunization in Papua New Guinea

Many diseases can be avoided through immunisation. This CD-ROM shows how health workers can increase immunisation coverage in urban and rural areas, and also demonstrates correct immunisation procedures.

A variety of local presenters explain important immunisation procedures such as the Cold Chain, Injection Technique, Safety and Increasing Immunisation Coverage. Although the video was filmed in Port Moresby and Central Province of PNG, it also has relevance in all other countries.

The CD-ROM is part of the PNG Women and Children's Health Project managed by International Development Support Services (IDSS) and includes the PNG NDoH Immunisation Manual 2002, detailed Q&A sections, transcript of the video and a multitude of references and posters. All can be printed or copied as required.
