Economies that are in transition particularly the Central Asian countries, can use this CD-ROM as a guide towards identifying their goals and courses of action as they draft or improve their living standard strategy.

*The government of Uzbekistan is currently developing their living standard strategy. To date, an initial draft of the document has been completed. It will go through another round of revision and consultations with major stakeholders. The government hopes to complete their living standard strategy before the end of 2004.
