This interactive CD-ROM is an excellent distance-learning course aimed at strengthening the skills and capacity of developing country organizations and activists promoting human rights.
There are two parts to the course. The first module is a foundation course on investigating human rights that teaches how to plan and conduct impartial research and investigations of human rights abuses. The second module offers an advanced course on monitoring and reporting skills to track, observe and report on important human rights events. Although most of the examples used in the text are drawn from cases in Africa, the principles set forth are useful for any human rights fact-finder.
