International Efforts to Managing for Development Results

The session overviewed efforts in the international development community to introduce and implement managing for development results approaches and initiatives. It refered to international events from the Monterrey International Conference on Financing for Development (March, 2002) to the Paris High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (March, 2005).

International initiatives can be grouped into three categories:

  • strengthening of developing countries capacities to manage for results
  • enhancing development agencies results orientation
  • developing global partnerships to increase development effectiveness.
