Results Logic, Outputs, Outcomes, and Impacts

In the complex business of government, with its many sectors and organizational units, misunderstandings occur in discussing and applying concepts such as results-based management (RBM).

In fact the simple word 'results' can easily convey different meanings and lead to confusion. What is needed is to understand the language and meaning of RBM and how they form a coherent framework. When such a framework is understood and applied to the everyday work of government then there is greater certainty that agencies efforts will contribute to delivering government's promises to the community.
