Results-based Management at an Agency Level

Governments operate their business through a host of government agencies, central and sector agencies, local governments, and state-owned enterprises etc.

The effectiveness of government in general depends on the effectiveness of each agency, and the excellence with which each performs its respective accountabilities.

Agencies' public accountabilities range from policy making and regulation, to service delivery, financial management, and maintaining law and order.

This session dealt with the issue of how public sector agencies can be assisted to become more results and client-focused.
