Diagnostic Analysis of Constraints to Capacity
It is critical that government agencies periodically undertake a self diagnosis of their performance capacity with a view to enhancing their capacity to perform and deliver the results expected of their agency.
Such diagnostic analysis is best undertaken by internal staff, perhaps with the assistance of an external process expert. It is staff themselves who best know how the organization operates, and where its strengths and weaknesses lie.
This session introduced a systematic approach to the diagnostic analysis of agency performance capacity. The session assisted participants to begin a diagnostic analysis and develop an initial capacity building plan for their agency or unit, based on this initial analysis.
