Results-based Management in the Education Sector in Mongolia

The Government of Mongolia initiated public sector management and finance reforms, which require mid-term strategic planning and performance-based management. The reforms also affected the education sector. All municipal schools introduced results-based performance agreements.

Though some progress can be identified, there are still challenges and areas for improvement, such as mindset change for the new system, and lack of capacity to implement the changes.
