Tax Audit and Tax Supervision System

Satit Pongtanya from the Bureau of Large Business, Tax Administration, Revenue Department of Thailand discussed the tax audit and tax supervision system in Thailand. After implementation of the new Supervision Policy which utilizes ICT, tax administration has improved. These are the results of the new policy implementation:

• higher tax collected;
• increased taxpayers' cooperation;
• increased tax officers' understanding of taxpayers' businesses, and
• well-developed taxpayers' database.
