Gender in Road Infrastructure

This presentations explores the impact of road improvements on the welfare of women. While infrastructure investments can lead to improvements in connectivity for women, potential negative impacts must be taken into consideration. ADB road projects in Cambodia, India, and Bangladesh are cited to illustrate why and how gender issues should be incorporated in project design, implementation, and monitoring.
