DAJA Terms and Conditions

Statement of Terms and Conditions

Entries must be the work of individual journalists from ADB developing member countries.

Articles may be published or unpublished works. Published works may have appeared in a regional newspaper, magazine, news wire service, or website between 1 January 2007 and 22 August 2008.

Journalists may enter one article in each of the four theme categories (governance, regional integration, infrastructure, and environment). Journalists are entitled to only one theme award, but may also receive a special prize award. Prize winners and runners-up from previous DAJA competitions are eligible to compete again.

Every entry must be between 1500 and 2000 words in length.

Any entries submitted for prior DAJA competitions may not be used again in this year's competition.

Journalists will be required to give permission to ADBI to publish/republish the winning articles.

The judges shall not be bound to award a prize in any categories where they do not feel that the quality of entries merits it.

Submission deadline for 2008 Awards is 22 August 2008.
