Poverty Reduction Strategies in Asia: ADBI Annual ConferenceBackgroundAchieving sustained reductions in poverty requires rapid economic growth. However, growth alone will rarely be enough. There are ways in which countries can reach the poor in a 'growth plus strategy'. This conference will examine alternative ways of complementing the impact of economic growth on poverty reduction by looking at diverse experiences across the region. The conference will be opened by ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda. * *This link takes you outside the ADBI website. Please use the back button to return to ADBI.org.
