Developing Asia Journalism Awards Ceremony 2006

Background

Following the success of the 2004 and 2005 Developing Asia Journalism Awards (DAJA), ADBI and ADB are sponsoring DAJA 2006 to acknowledge Asian and Pacific print journalists who cover development trends and the impact these have in the region. The awards focus on excellence in journalistic reporting in four strategic areas of development:

1. Poverty issues

2. People and development

3. Women and development

4. Development agencies and development

Participants

Asian and Pacific Island nationals from eligible ADB developing member countries who are print journalists working in newspapers, magazines, wire services, and electronic media sites within the region.

How to Apply

Journalists can register and submit entries online. We encourage you to use this system.

For those with online restrictions, you may use this application form for fax or mail.

Also, please attach

• a copy of your story (or stories if you submitting more than one);
• a translation, if the original article is not in English; and
• a letter of recommendation from your editor or publisher.

Send these materials to ADBI, addressed to Developing Asia Journalism Awards, by mail or by fax.
