Managing Regional Public Goods WorkshopPost-course Statement
BackgroundPolicy makers and international organizations are facing complex challenges arising from the increased movement of goods and people due to regional integration. These challenges are reflected not only in the opportunities for cross border infrastructure development, trade and investment, but also in the spread of infectious diseases, increased irregular labor migration, and drug trafficking, which need improved regional cooperation and policy harmonization. To make regional initiatives and investment projects more sustainable in Asia and the Pacific, it is critical for policy makers and investment planners to better manage the regional public goods through sharing best practices.
