Workshop Evaluation

The participants completed an evaluation of the workshop focusing on the degree to which it achieved its objectives, and the relative usefulness of the workshop for their research institutes. Each question was evaluated by participants based on a scale of 1 to 5, in which 1 was assessed as poorly rated and 5 is assessed as highly rated.

Overall workshop participants gave very favorable scores to the highly interactive workshop. In addition to positively assessing the degree to which the workshop achieved its objectives and effectiveness of the entire program, the participants gave high ratings to the presentation sessions and resource speakers, as well as the group sessions and workshop outputs. While these letters provide a great deal of positive feedback on the workshop, it is important to note that in many instances the letters highlight actions the participants have or are in the process of taking as a result of the outcome of workshop sessions and as follow-up to the workshop recommendations. Some participants’ comments received are:

‘workshop was highly useful’

‘younger research institutes benefited greatly from experience sharing with long-established research institutes’

‘productive workshop supported strengthening of knowledge management and knowledge sharing capacity of think tanks, as well establishing a foundation for research cooperation and collaboration’
