Opportunities and Threats, Issues and Challenges in the Management of Cross Border Infrastructure Development and Trade Facilitation

The second day focuses on cross-border infrastructure and trade facilitation. It aims to understand the opportunities, impact on the management of regional transport infrastructure development and trade facilitation. Theoretical explanations and some cases will be provided to complete these objectives. In addition, the brief overview of regional infrastructure will be presented as an introduction to the policy seminar.

The main objective of the third day is to provide a submodule on techniques and methodologies in managing cross-border infrastructure development. The Project Cycle Method as well as a general methodological framework on project appraisal will be discussed among others. Also, ADBI's Research Group will introduce an institutional view on ADBI's flagship project on Infrastructure and Regional Cooperation.

The final day includes WRAP UP COMMENTS from select speakers which will revolve around the topic of ‘Finding Ways Forward in Cross-border infrastructure Management’, as well as output presentation of the participants’ group work to share potential concepts, ideas and strategies and discuss the most feasible steps towards better management of cross border infrastructure.
