Industrial Competitiveness: the Challenge for Pakistan

Improving international competitiveness is critical in a global economy. General principles must be related to country conditions before policy advice can be offered. This requires an assessment of where a country stands relative to competitors and an understanding of the lessons from recent success stories. In its series of high-level Policy Seminars ADBI discusses these questions for Pakistan. Speakers are Sanjaya Lall (Professor of Devbelopment Economics, University of Oxford), Peter Brimble (President, Asia Policy Research Co., Ltd) and John Weiss (Research Director, ADBI). The seminars will be held at: Islamabad (17 November), Lahore (19 November) and Karachi (20 November.)
