Reforming Services for Inclusive and Sustainable Development of Asia and the Pacific

Background

ADBI and UNESCAP-ARTNeT are teaming up on a project to examine regulatory issues and liberalization in services sector and to assess their impacts on inclusive and sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific. The project's findings will be disseminated at the conference on 11-12 October 2010.

Objectives

The purpose of this conference is to present the findings of the studies and have expert discussion of the regulatory and investment policies that affect services. The participants in the conference will include paper writers, sector experts, and other resource persons who will comment on the various draft reports, and a broader audience including high-level officials of Asian ministries of trade and investments, development planning agencies, multilateral agencies, and academics.
