Book Launch and Policy Dialogue Seminar: Implications of Global Financial Crisis for Financial Sector Reform and Regulation in Asia
The global financial crisis brought out to the surface the acute shortcomings of the international financial system. Reforming financial system and strengthening financial regulations have become a crucial necessity to achieve financial stability and promote sustainable economic growth globally. ADBI has initiated several research activities on financial regulatory reforms. This includes conferences such as "International Cooperation in Times of Global Crisis Views from G20 countries" in New Delhi in 2010 and "Reform of International Monetary System: Asia Perspective" in Tokyo in 2010. As a part of its contribution to financial regulation debates, ADBI will launch a new book "Implications of Global Financial Crisis for Financial Sector Reform and Regulation in Asia" with a policy dialogue. This event includes a presentation on the newly published book, a panel and open floor discussions on financial regulation issues.
