Public Finance and Expenditure Management Course 2005Post-event Statement
BackgroundSome of the major concerns in developing member countries (DMCs) have been generation of sufficient public revenue, allocation and use of those resources efficiently and responsively, and government accounting and reporting. There are increasing pressures for DMCs to improve budget and expenditure management, improve transparency and accountability, and eliminate corruption and misuse of public funds. ADB has been assisting many DMCs in carrying out reforms in these areas through technical assistance and policy-based lending. This course will focus on
