Special Programs
To enhance our research and capacity building initiatives, ADBI has developed a series of special programs. These programs allow us to focus attention, and share knowledge and expertise on key issue areas throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Throughout the year, we feature a series of seminars presented by distinguished speakers in fields related to ADBI’s priority themes. The Distinguished Speaker Seminar Series aims to encourage debate among between policy makers, researchers, academics and others interested in economic development issues in the region.
In pursuit of fostering high quality and policy-relevant research in ADB's developing member countries, ADBI offers a Visiting Researchers’ Program. The program allows researchers to work in Tokyo on a topic of mutual interest to ADBI and the researchers themselves.
Other programs such as the Developing Asia Journalism Awards seek to foster cultures of openness, transparency, and accountability essential to the development of sustainable and competitive economies.
Our CD-ROM program catalogs and reviews an extensive range of research, training, and resource materials going back to 1997. There are over 500 development-related CD-ROMs listed in the online CD-ROM library. You can search this collection by subject, producer, and free titles.
