Welcome Remarks by Dean Masahiro Kawai at Strengthening Private Sector Participation and Investment in Physical Infrastructure Workshop

Masahiro Kawai, ADBI Dean gave the welcome remarks at the Strengthening Private Sector Participation and Investment in Physical Infrastructure workshop held in Tokyo from 19-22 November 2007. The conference focused on challenges to private sector participation and investment in infrastructure projects in the Asia-Pacific. Dean Kawai spoke about the region’s need to attract private sector financing and make deals 'bankable'.
